I have a shared hosting. There are limitations One is with full trust vs medium trust. I tested several CMS and decided in favor of kooboo. Version 3.3.0 ran ok right away.

Godaddy currently suppots Microsoft .NET Framework Version: 4.0.30319; ASP.NET Version: 4.0.30319.272.

So, I created two folders. Version. 3.3.0 ran ok with no modifications, but 4.0.2 failed. A web.config error:

<compilation debug="true" targetFramework="4.5">

I'd like to know what are the minimum requirements for the two versions 3.3.0 and 4.0.2?
Comments: hi The lastest release V4.1.0 already support godaddy, it has been downgraded to .NET 4.0

Hello,

We noticed a problem with HtmlCodeHelper when listing comments in admin on our website.

A spambot entered a lot of comments that start with "http://" and this can cause an exception to be thrown in HtmlCodeHelper. The exception is throw on line 67 by Path.GetExtension(). The problem is the assumption made at line 64:

I opened the latest download available in Visual Studio 2012. When I attempt to run, I get the following error:

Looking at the model class in Reflector, I don't actually see anything that might be appropriate for this field.
Comments: Did you download the file of "Kooboo_CMS.zip"? The file is a published web site, you can open it in VS2012 by Web Site project, but you do not need to build it. The error you can ignore it, and also you can delete the it. We will delete it in the future version.

Downloaded the latest version. Noticed that a lot of views have the following declaration at the top:

Blank.cshtml does not exist in /Areas/Contents/Views/Shared. It's in /Views/Shared

Comments: HI I have done a global seaching in the project, but just only two views used "Layout = "~/Areas/Contents/Views/Shared/Blank.cshtml";" Areas\Contents\Views\MediaContent\LargeFile.cshtml Areas\Contents\Views\MediaContent\TextFile.cshtml There are all the obsolete views, we will delete them.

Blank.cshtml does not exist in /Areas/Contents/Views/Shared. It's in /Views/Shared

Comments: Similarly, Site.cshtml is in /Views/Shared, but i see it referenced as /Areas/Contents/Views/Shared in, for example, Areas/Contents/Views/Setting/Basic.cshtml

Comments: Very sad to hear that, the Kooboo CMS 4 is using .NET framework 4.5 but godaddy does not support 4.5 right now. I hope godaddy will upgrade .net framework version very soon, but also you can try to build the Kooboo CMS under .NET framework 4. I think you have to replace the MVC dlls using .NET 4 version.

Godaddy currently suppots ASP.NET 4.0. So, I created two folders, one for each version. 3.3.0 ran ok with no modifications, but with 4.0.2 I am getting a config error.

Several times I've been working in the admin section (customizing a view, for example)... I go to save my changes, and my login session has timed out.

In v3.x I was able to log in and re-attempt the save easily enough (multiple tabs were used to avoid loss of changes)... but with v4 taking over the entire screen, I am forced to open the browsers' dev panel, set the "saving" dialog's z-index to -1, so that I can copy the changed contents to my clipboard.

I think the *best* solution would be some background API that can check whether the user is authenticated. When a save occurs, the client code can call the method, and prompt for credentials if necessary. Only after authenticating, should the modal save dialog take over.

Testing an upgrade from v3.x

added a view which includes:

respect, good job at all!

But I've found some inconsistency.

In the Kooboo.CMS\Kooboo.CMS.Web\Areas\Contents\Views\Repository\Create.cshtml is used
~/Areas/Contents/Views/Shared/Blank.cshtml as a layout. But this file (Blank.cshtml) doesn't exists in the directory ~/Areas/Contents/Views/Shared. But only in ~/Views/Shared.

The question is: whether the Create.cshtml reference a wrong template or a template is not added to the source code repository.

P.S. For me I have changed the Create.cshtml file. But I don't know if it is right way.
